This book about the happenings at Fatima is a classic example of Father John De Marchi's exceptional work. Sent to Portugal, when the second world war was in progress, he fulfilled the mission entrusted to him, while at the same time, though alone, he ventured to write an account of Fatima which was to be different from others. He made a thorough investigation into the matter, conversed with Lucia, interviewed the witnesses, visited the places and acquainted himself with the intimate life of the people, so that his book merits to be classified as an authentic historical document.
